Restlessness and boredom can be a challenge in meditation – here are some tips that can help.
Sometimes, something creates friction in your focus. You sit down to rest, but it seems that you are only on the surface, and you feel yourself breaking the meditation. When it seems pointless to continue, and you should be doing a thousand other things, the question is: Is there a simple tip for getting rid of restlessness during meditation?,
In fact, the discomfort in Esame meditation can be the result of true meditation, where we allow residues of psychological issues to emerge in the conscious part of our mind. Boredom may be a related emotion. Both events represent occasions in meditation. If you want to overcome your restlessness, or more accurately: become aware of the interaction between meditation sound and attention, then your meditation is the place to start.
In meditation restlessness fills your entire field of vision. It grabs your attention, and it becomes difficult to replicate the meditation sound in an effortless way. It may feel like there is no room in the mind for anything else in those moments. it is not true.
Other impulses are also present in the mind, but they are uneasily pacified. It’s like standing on the side of a highway trying to hear the wind caressing the tops of the trees next to you. Others have impulses but are drowned out by the noise of restlessness. Similarly, boredom can dominate your experience as you sit there. You don’t even hear the wind in the treetops.
When you repeat a meditation sound in Esame meditation, the point is to use as little energy as possible in the repetition. It makes you more open to the subtle parts of the mind. You are more open to areas of yourself that need a more sensitive presence. Asem meditation enhances your introspective sensitivity.
A subtle meditative sound with less energy in its repetition, it facilitates openness to other parts that are alive in you. The parts that don’t scream and struggle and scream. At first, they only appear like a whisper.
Ask yourself: can I now use less energy to reproduce the sound? In addition, you can use your awareness. Imagine that your attention has a periphery and a center. Even though the center is filled with noise from the highway of restlessness, there are a few trees on the periphery with whispers. You can increase your attention to become aware of what is out there.
A light meditation sound and expanded awareness can be helpful in discovering that your inner landscape is not just the noise of motors. Listen Beyond Just Disturbance: What’s Existed? What are the silent impulses within me along with the storms in the center? What are those voices saying? Feelings of failure, and that you are trapped in discomfort, are not uncommon. But try again. Back to the search for sound and meditation once again. Maybe you can leave something?
