(top, shorts)
I went to the 60 minute class. When I started, I questioned my sanity in trying out 60 Minutes, but I’m so glad I did. It was a Power Zone class, so it focused more on stamina, and I loved it. I find I need to do more of the Heights and Hills/Tabata type classes on my Peloton as it works my fast twitch muscles (which I lack!) for a race this summer (5K! !) I finished the 5 minute core class and then went to my physical therapy appointment.
We analyzed the moves on the treadmill!
He told me to go back to the treadmill belt because naturally I like to be very close to the console when I run on a treadmill.
My arms are always open when I run, so he said we’ll work on that last one with some exercises in the future, but for now the focus is on my hip drop. 5-7% is normal for women, but I’m at 8% on my right side, so he gave me some exercises that I’ll be doing three times a week for the next month to help me keep firing steadily and accurately .
I bet I’m at about 20% hip degradation by the end of the marathon ;). I’m sure having kids/being pregnant contributes to some of these weaknesses, but I’m excited to find out what I need to focus on with my strength training now.
My leg is under my body, so I don’t need to work on it!
When I left, I was feeling very excited to see what happens with my racing as I work on these things!
We had a fun little beach day with the kids at the lake.
I got everything back in my closet… it’s been in my bathtub for the past month.
Trees with flowers and popsicles = perfection.
Now for some life errors-> It took me a long time to realize that my shirt was inside out.
Adding normal rice instead of instant rice was another error in this chicken and rice recipe. Nothing like crispy rice for dinner :). At least, I thought it was cool even though it wasn’t pretty.
Does anyone else run too close to the console on the treadmill, or do you run more in the middle or behind the belt?
any funny life mistakes you’ve made recently?
The most organized place in your living space and the most disorganized place in your living space?
Have you ever analyzed moves? What did you learn about yourself?
