(shorts, bra, shoes, tank)
8.27 miles @ 8:17, and I officially love running again ;). After the first week of Boston, I was questioning whether I would ever be able to start running again…and I was considering new hobbies to blog about. But, sometimes, distance makes the heart grow fonder, and my body and brain need some time to rediscover their love for it.
My breathing was heavy, but my body felt great.
Andrew was on call for the day, so he took Beck to watch the airplane take off and land while I got some work done at home.
But then he was invited inside, but we could have a bowl of rice first.
It seems like just yesterday we were running in the snow and now we are running in 80° weather.
The day ended with football, of course.
Let’s jump into tangents about what I need to tell you…
*My kids love eating the ramen straight out of the bag. I didn’t get.
*It’s allergy time, and I just needed to remind myself of that and to help anyone else with allergies thinking about taking Zyrtec…
This is from last summer:
*I’ve said this before, and I’ll repeat it, I thrive with spring/summer parenting. Winter is hard, and I feel like I’ve been cleaning up messes all day, and everyone is grumpy. But when it’s warm enough, we’re outside all day, living our best lives.
*An Inside-Out Reese’s Cookie from Dirty Dough. It’s so rich that we could only handle a few bites, but it was delicious.
* My Garmin Tan line is already pretty aggressive.
* I have another appointment for my PT tomorrow. I’m determined to make my glutes do their work on the run.
*Running is one of the best ways to learn about delayed gratification… We can work so hard towards our running goals, and there’s no quick way to get there. Sometimes that reward takes weeks, months or even years, but we keep working hard until we get there. So much blood, sweat and tears to get the prize.
Backline’s McKirdie marathon looks pretty amazing…

Last kind of cookie you had?!
Are there a million cookie shops in your area like ours?
Does anyone else have a job where you’re sometimes on call?
